I am a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at SpeechMatters Clinic based in Rathgar and Rathmines, Dublin 6. I offer face-to-face and online sessions to families and individuals across Ireland. I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from the University of Essex, Colchester, England and have extensive experience working in both the private and public sector. I am a European Clinical Specialist in Stuttering (ESS). I work closely with the Irish Stammering Association to support adults and children who stutter. I enjoy working with adults and children with a range of communication delays and disorders such as, but not limited to; stuttering, cleft lip and palate, specific speech and language delays and disorders and dysphonia (hoarse voice). I have worked in community clinics, cleft services in hospitals as well as in my own clinic in Rathmines. Coaching: I am a certified and experienced in delivering training courses for Hanen 'It Takes Two to Talk', Hanen 'More Than Words', Palin Parent-Child-Interaction Programme for Children who stammer, and I am an Elklan Tutor. I deliver online and in-person individual and group training sessions to families, teachers and childcare workers in schools, Montessories and Playschools to help support children with specific speech, language, voice, resonance, airflow and communication needs. As a certified Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) Clinician, I offer voice strengthening training to clients with Parkinson's Disease. I also support teachers with voice disorders. I also love to educate and train teachers and carers on early language development, speech sound intervention and voice care. SpeechMatters was founded in 2011.
