Mairéad Burke – Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Mairéad is a CORU-registered Senior Speech and Language Therapist with experience working with children and teenagers across a varied paediatric caseload. She holds a First Class Honours Degree in Clinical Speech and Language Therapy from Trinity College Dublin and currently works within Children’s Disability Services and with the Deaf Community.

Mairéad has a special interest in speech sound disorders as well as language delays, language disorders and stammering. Mairéad aims to  support children and young adults to build clear, confident, and effective communication skills. She works with children and teenagers who have physical and intellectual disabilities, providing tailored support to help each individual reach their full communication potential. Mairéad’s practice is child-centred and evidence-based, ensuring each session is tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of every child. Mairéad provides comprehensive assessment and intervention, along with teacher and parent training to help families and educators support communication development beyond therapy sessions. She is also proficient and an advocate for AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), ensuring every child has a voice and the means to express themselves.

Mairéad offers both home visits and online sessions, providing flexible and accessible support for families.
