HomeSpeech TherapistsPamela Raftery Pamela Raftery Speech Therapist Title About my practice Visual Code Following graduation from Trinity College, where I was awarded the Ottway Freeman Award for Clinical Excellence and the Walker Prize for Speech Pathology, I worked as a paediatric Speech & Language Therapist for the HSE in a Community Care setting before establishing myself in private practice. I took over ownership of ARC Speech and Language Clinic in February 2013. In addition to my membership of ISTI (for which I served 3 years as Chairperson and a further year as Membership Secretary), I am a registered member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) and CORU (Government Health Regulatory Body). As a parent myself of 3 young children, I fully understand the anxiety that comes from discovering that your child is struggling or needs help in a particular area. I work with a wide range of children including those experiencing difficulties with articulation, phonology, language, pragmatics or fluency and those experiencing communication difficulties as part of a wider diagnosis such as ASD (Autism) or Down Syndrome. My ethos is simple - to provide a high quality, highly individualised assessment and intervention service for children and their parents. Please note that although I do not personally work with adults, the clinic also offers an adult service in relation to voice disorders and nursing home visits to carry out swallowing assessments.
